Ju Ju Chan did get a chance to do her thing but not until the last few minutes of the movie, what a waste of talent. Bottom-of-the-barrel, low-stakes "action" garbage. Marketed as if Luke Goss, leader of a trio of LA vigilantes, is the star - actually, the main character is a whiny law professor with a comically naive view of the justice system. Hollow Point is completely stupid, and not in a fun way, and for some reason Bill Duke is condemned to be in it. Avoid, unless your standards for action movies are exceptionally low. It's silly, predictable, lazy, cliched, etc etc... It's exactly what you expect this film to be, but, even with all that taken into consideration, I enjoyed it. I wanted something dumb, action, watchable, and this was it. The cast work well, they all hit their marks, and do what's required to keep the story moving forward. The direction is efficient, and zippy enough, so things are kept moving at a good pace, so you are never bored. You're not missing anything if you don't watch it, but if you're looking for a straightforward efficiently made action / thriller, to watch while you're doing the ironing, or some other household chore, this is it.
