I expected it to be too cheesy, and I expected it to appeal more to a younger audience (juvenile). But the characters are genuinely lovable, relatively complex, and the show is done very well! Reviewed in the United States on November 22, 2018 What's with all the *clothes*? Is their home not heated? These people put on a suit just to stand around the house. Is this normal? I'm trying to like the show but the Jeffersons' stuffy lifestyle is killing me. And then there is the thing the show shares with every other superhero flick: the good guys chronically averse to killing the bad guys even when it leaves their loved ones at risk. I guess if they did then the writers would have to put some real effort into it. How wonderful it must be to be so cliched, hackneyed, lazy. I grew up on comics and follow these shows religiously so understand me when I say I am starting to lose my frickin patience. Great show otherwise. Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2019 its unwatchable tv, they go so over the top with the narrative of "all white people, especially cops, are racist" that there is practically no entertainment value.
