This is definitely edgier than some of his past work, and in a good way. He definitely still kills the best with his dad humor, though. With a little more deserved recognition, I think he could be the next Louis CK. Recent reviews I enjoyed this a lot at the beginning then when his persona turned into just hating on a lot of stuff and being like "if you say this annoying " was a bit off putting. "Drive safe, don't rape. " Another solid comedy special from Chad Daniels, with some legendary callbacks and a surprisingly rewarding ending. Chad Daniels came off a great year. In 2018, he blew up after the success of his album "Footsteps on the Moon" and a strong run of shows. He toured a ton, and even came to Louisville to do a single show at the Caravan on a Sunday, which I have not seen happen before or since. This special was filmed in a relatively intimate room. He's low to the stage and wearing a simple grey sweater. The room facilities an easy connection with the audience. Daniels seems to be in a small club, something like "Go Bananas" in Cincinnati.
