I also wanted to broach the subject of online play and DMing. I'm pretty new to Roll20 (10 months of power using) and all forms of online play and what I came to realize is that it's fucking painful. I'm not bashing Roll20, I'm bashing all forms of online play and it's all because of the systems in place and my lack of space/technology. If I had a PC and dual monitors and an office then no issues. Unfortunately I run my games from a 14" Chromebook on my kitchen table. It's not a lag issue, it's real estate issue. When I DM in person I have my Chromebook in front of me, a DM screen to either side, my notes on the right table and dice and dice tray on the left and current game notes in the middle. No issues. I was running everything on one screen. Character sheets, NPC sheets all the new books I have are in pdf. OMG 77 tabs later and I'm having an aneurysm. Don't even get me started on my 17 hour search for the perfect fucking, like FULL STOP I recommend setting yourself up exactly as you did before you were forced to embrace tech.
